Personal care line Soap & Glory has reported a sharp fall in sales and an overall loss for the 17 months to August 31, 2015 following its acquisition by Walgreen Boots Alliance in 2014, according to a report published by thisismoney.co.uk
Sales fell to £12.8 million, causing the Indie mass market body care brand to report an overall loss of £2.6 million, a far cry from the £1.4 million pre-tax profit achieved prior to the takeover.
Walgreen Boots Alliance bought out Soap & Glory owner Marcia Kilgore at the end of 2014 for a reported £40 to £50 million.
