Investigative journalist Stacey Dooley has come under fire from the Twittersphere after announcing that she would be fronting a new BBC Three show that pits make-up artists against each other, named Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star.
Dooley, who recently scooped the Strictly Come Dancing title was accused of ‘selling out’ with the show branded as ‘trivial’, according to a BBC report.
“That is such a Stone Age assumption,” Dooley responded via Twitter. “You can care about human issues, the planet and also be into fashion.”
In the new show, Dooley will sit on a panel of judges alongside L’Oréal Global Make-up Director Val Garland and Dominic Skinner of MAC fame.
