Ingredient company Symrise has purchased the Jacksonville-based specialty-chemicals Renessenz plant, which showcases further investment in the area by the company.
The 50-acre property will change names and be known as Symrise Inc, a move which follows a year-long ownership process following Symrise’s acquisition of Renessenz’s parent company Pinova Holdings – a leading supplier of ingredients used in fragrance and oral care items.
The plant has been in operation for more than 100 years manufacturing speciality ingredients chemicals through raw renewable materials. Symrise is said to have finalized the sale on Jan 7 for a sum of $417 million.
Full integration is stipulated as part of the ownership permit transfer.
