Takasago cuts the ribbon on Indian plant

Takasago has opened its new US$10 million R&D and manufacturing facility at One Hub, Chennai, India, according to a report published by Times of India.

The new facility boasts a capacity of more than 10,000 tonnes per annum and will produce both flavors and frgarances. The facility will serve the Indian market, as well as neighbouring countries such as Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

“This facility is a major part of our expansion plans for India. We are expecting to grow in both flavors and fragrance while leveraging various consumer insight and market research tools to collaborate with our customers so as to build customer intimacy,” TTP Shaheel, MD Takasago International India told the Times of India.
