Tech employed by Unilever and Superdrug named in FUTR European Retailtech Top 50 2018

FUTR has unveiled its round-up of Europe’s best early-stage companies in RetailTech. The unranked list of 50 start-ups is divided into five categories: In-store Experience, Commerce & Payments; Supply Chain, Fulfilment & Delivery; Product Design & Development; and Mobile & Digital.

Among those named in the in-store experience category is Nobal Technologies, inventor of the iMirror, billed as the ‘world’s most interactive mirror’. Meanwhile, in the Supply Chain, Fulfilment & Delivery group, Shutl, who specializes in local one-hour deliveries and counts Superdrug among its clients, made the list. In the Mobile & Digital class is Spirable, a video generation service combining AI and storytelling, which is used by Unilever and Holland & Barrett, among others.

“The way today’s consumers shop and consume continues to evolve at a faster pace than ever before and brands and retailers continue to compete in an increasingly competitive environment,” says Rupa Ganatra, Founding Partner, FUTR Group. “Whether retailers are looking at new ways of customer engagement to today’s applications of artificial intelligence or new ways to scale personalization to innovative ways to bridge the gap between physical and digital, there are numerous innovative start-ups that are providing a variety of solutions for these needs.”
