Pennsylvannia-based Tekni-Plex is set to make its first foray into the South American market with the acquisition of Geraldiscos, according to a report published by Plastics News.
The Brazilian packaging firm produces closure liners and induction seals for plastic and glass containers and is renowned for its sustainable manufacturing and use of recycled materials. Geraldiscos will join Tekni-Plex’s Tri-Seal unit.
“We continue to drive our strategy by growing our business organically and through mergers and acquisitions,” Paul Young, Teckni-Plex CEO announced in a statement, per Plastics News. “Geraldiscos allows us to expand our geographic footprint into South America to support the large Brazilian closure market and our multinational customers.”
