THE WHAT? The Body Shop has appointed Maddie Smith to lead its UK and Ireland business, succeeding Linda Campbell who is being promoted to Global Retail Director.

THE DETAILS Smith joins The Body Shop from her role as Estee Lauder’s Retail Vice-President for North America, and will report to The Body Shop Chief Executive David Boynton in her new position. 

THE WHY? An experienced exec in beauty, Smith is tasked with growing The Body Shop following the COVID-19 outbreak. 

Boynton said, “These exciting roles will ensure we carry on growing our company in a post-pandemic world and enable our retail channels to remain a place where customers can enjoy a unique experience, with excellent customer service, not only in the UK and Ireland but across the world.”
