The Body Shop has extended its Hemp personal care line and is launching a new promotion to sell the products at European airports.
Derived from fair trade hemp seed oil, the Body Shop’s hemp collection currently includes a body butter, lip protector, intensive hand butter and foot protector. Proving a hit with customers, the Body Shop’s 100ml Hemp Hand Protector is its best-selling product within bath & body.
Extending its hemp product line, The Body Shop has added Hemp Soap on a Rope, which is said to deliver “effective non-drying, sensitive cleansing for dry skin, with moisturising hemp seed oil.” It can be hang-dried by its rope, so that the soap avoids picking up dirt and bacteria sitting on the side of the tub.
Throughout April, the Hemp collection is being promoted at airports in Paris, Milan, Stockholm and Malaga, using a ‘Take Care of your Body from Head to Toe’ display. The display features The Body Shop’s signature trolley, wheelbarrow and hive merchandising.
Passengers who purchase any three products will be offered a travel-size GWP of a 60ml shower gel or a 50ml body butter.
Hemp is described by the brand as a ‘miracle’ crop for the environment as it is four times more effective at capturing CO2 than trees and requires no pesticides or herbicides to grow.
