The Body Shop launches Youth Collective to amplify young voices

THE WHAT? The Body Shop has announced the launch of a Youth Collective, designed to bring young people into its boardroom.

THE DETAILS The Youth Collective will be made up of a group of under 30s from within the ethical beauty brand and fellow B Corps. The Body Shop’s leadership will consult the group on decisions concerning the business and make sure that young voices are amplified within its business.

THE WHY? More than 40 percent of the world’s population is aged under 25 but globally just 2.8 percent of parliamentarians are under 30 and the average age of those on FTSE 150 boards was nearly 60. The Body Shop’s initiative is designed not only to up representation but also, presumably, to gain insight into this consumer’s mindset.
