The Fashion Industry of Technology (FIT) has teamed up with Allure and online education provider Qubed Education to launch the first online certificate program for the beauty industry.
Beauty Industry Essentials, as the course is named, is self-paced and fully online with rolling admissions to provide maximum flexibility for students. The program costs US$750 and participants have a year to complete the seven modules.
Designed by FIT’s Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing program, the curriculum covers six key professional areas: cosmetics and beauty artistry, the business of fragrance, product development, packaging and presentation, marketing and merchandising, and beauty media. Teachers include Allure Editor in Chief Michelle Lee, Bobbi Brown and professionals at MAC, Shiseido and Givaudan as well as faculty staff.
