The Fox group is hoping to obtain a franchise to operate standalone stores for The Estee Lauder Companies’ portfolio in Israel, according to a report published by Globes.
Lauder subsidiary Elcalil currently operates some 25 stores across the country for the US prestige giant’s MAC, Smashbox and Bobbi Brown brands. However, many Lauder brands are yet to establish an independent presence in the country, among them Clinique.
Fox now counts 16 brands among its roster, including fashion labels, home and personal care chains. Most recently, the group acquired a 50 percent share in baby products stores Shilav and a stake in French-owned Laline. Sales were up 22 percent in the first quarter, reaching NIS425 million with personal care division growing 16.5 percent thanks to the addition of Laline.
