The L’Oréal Foundation donates $100,000 to UNICEF fund

The L’Oréal Foundation has pledged a further $100,000 donation to UNICEF in its continued bid to help the charity, with the latest funds going towards its work to help stamp out famine.

The L’Oréal Group has worked with UNICEF over the last year through its foundation to help its work on the African continent and the Arabian Peninsula, such as Nigeria, Somalia, Yemen and South Sudan, where famine is officially been declared in some locations and threatening a number of countries.

In a bid to aid UNICEF with its work, the donation will be used to help children and their families to access mobile services to help them care for and feed themselves, accessing medicines and vaccines, and drinking water and sanitation.

The decision to further donate to UNICEF follows its financial assistance to the charity last year, with the previous funds going to help the victims of Hurricane Matthew in Haiti.
