Global fragrance house Coty has joined forces with jewellery powerhouse Tiffany & Co to launch a range of scents for men and women.
The partnership is yet to disclose when the fragrances will be on the market, which will be sold within Tiffany & Co stores and other speciality retailers.
The jewellery brand will be joining a stellar cast of prestige fragrances already under the Coty licence, including Marc Jacobs, Chloe and Calvin Klein. Indeed, it isn’t Tiffany & Co’s first foray into the fragrance market, with Chanel having developed both male and female scents for the brand in the ‘80s through to 2006.
Speaking to WWD, Frédéric Cumenal, Chief Executive Officer of Tiffany & Co, said, “Tiffany is among the world’s most important houses of luxury, and fragrances are an important expression of the brand.
“We are pleased to work with Coty, an industry leader in the prestige fragrance category, on the development of a more meaningful fragrance portfolio through this licensing agreement.”
Meanwhile Bart Becht, Chairman and Interim CEO of Coty echoed the sentiments, “Tiffany’s luxury heritage lends itself perfectly to Coty’s prestige fragrance portfolio. We look forward to bringing Coty’s unique expertise to Tiffany by establishing a strong fragrance business for the brand.”
