Tmall Global has launched an English-language website to help onboard international brands who want to sell on the marketplace.
The portal will contain information about the Alibaba-owned site as well as tips for selling to Chinese consumers as well as enable brands to apply for their own flagship store on the e-commerce platform – previously, Tmall Global has sought out brands to work with.
“Tmall Global’s mission is to connect high-quality international brands across the globe with Chinese consumers,” said Yi Qian, Deputy General Manager of Tmall Global. “We believe the launch of this English-language website will expedite the process for brands and merchants to introduce their products to Chinese consumers.”
The platform has plans to launch versions of the onboarding site in Spanish, Japanese and Korean in the future as part and parcel of its ambition to double the number of brands it sells over the next three years.
