THE WHAT? Ulta Beauty has announced the MUSE Accelerator cohort, which features eight BIPOC beauty brands.
THE DETAILS The eight selected brands span a variety of beauty categories, including wellness, skincare, haircare, makeup, and fragrance.
Each will each receive US$50,000 in financial support to help development along with resources for future growth.
The selected brands are: Pound Cake. Squigs, OURSIDE, Bonita Fierce Candles, Sade Baron, YINA, The Refig, and Dehiya Beauty.
THE WHY? According to Ulta, “The beauty retailer launches the 10-week program this month, which will provide the selected brands time, resources, mentorship, and the opportunity to learn from ‘established industry leaders to help prepare them for retail readiness.”
