Unilever Chief Executive Officer, Paul Polman visited Ghana last week, according to a report published by Ghana News Agency.
Polman enjoyed a two-day tour, flying in from the Ivory Coast where he participated in a panel at the Africa CEO summit.
Polman discussed Unilever’s business interests and investments in Ghana and possible areas of future cooperation with President Akufo-Addo, per Ghana News Agency.
During his visit, Polman was also scheduled to meet with Owusu Afriyie Akoto, Minister of Agriculture, and Ken Ofori Atta, Finance Minister to discuss Unilever’s participation in the country’s economy, particularly in the agricultural sector. Unilever’s chief was accompanied by Unilever Africa President, Bruno Witvoet; Unilever Africa Director for Communications and Sustainable Business, Douglas Brew; and CEO of Sundial Brands, Richelieu Dennis.
From Ghana, Polman traveled on to Nigeria.
