The 2015 Unilever East Africa’s Idea Trophy has been announced. The inter-university innovation competition focuses on Kenyan undergraduates and looks at the development of personal and entrepreneurial competencies.
The award, which extends to both private and public universities in Kenya, requires students to create innovative ideas on creating brand awareness and increasing product usage among colleagues in the target institutions.
Participants will enjoy once-in-a-lifetime experience of working on real business challenges in a multinational company, while receiving invaluable mentoring from experienced business leaders. Indeed those taking part stand the chance of winning an internship at the company, as well as a trip to the Global Future Leader’s league at one of Unilever’s international hubs. Winners will work with creative agencies to bring their ideas to life while gaining access to a resource toolkit and problem-solving frameworks.
Voted as the number one FMCG Employer of choice amongst students, Unilever set up the Idea Trophy Competition in 2012 and has since enjoyed great success amongst student communities.
In order to represent the continent at a global stage, the winning university will compete with other African countries.
