Unilever Ghana’s third IdeaTrophy competition to focus on Rexona brand

Unilever Ghana has launched the third edition of its IdeaTrophy competition, aimed at creating an out-of-the-classroom learning experience for undergraduate students.

Students from universities across the nation can apply online via the Unilever Africa IdeaTrophy website. Those shortlisted will attend a two-day camp focused on brand emersion, before being split into teams of three to work as business managers and develop their ideas into business ventures.

The winner will go on to compete against other South African countries for the Africa IdeaTrophy title, and to be crowned as a representative of Africa in the global Future Leaders League Challenge.

This year’s focus will be on the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan, with reference to the Rexona brand in particular.

Gabriel Opoku-Asare, Head of Corporate Affairs for Unilever Ghana, explained in a statement that the competition would give students a chance to experience life in a multinational company, and to work with creative agencies to bring ideas to life as well as travel opportunities, exciting prizes and the potential to gain a place on Unilever’s 2016 Leadership Internship Program.
