Unilever Israel has announced that it will be increasing the effective price of select products by ushering in smaller pack sizes, in order to recoup increased production costs, according to a report published by Globes.
The Anglo Dutch FMCG retailer is said to have written to retailers notifying them of the change in pack size, effective from the start of November. The change applies to Unilever’s bestselling food ranges but is not thought to apply to personal care products.
“I hereby notify you that starting in November 2019, our packages will be reduced in size for a number of Unilever products, including Kariot, Klik and Nishnushim. The effective price per 100 grams of these products will be increased,” reads the letter, which was seen by Globes.
