Unilever Nepal is celebrating its 25th anniversary this week, according to a report published by My Republica. The company will mark the occasion with a program of events.
The company awarded shareholders a special dividend in recognition of its silver jubilee, which was announced at the board meeting last week, where it reported revenue of Rs4.44 billion and a net profit of Rs965 million. Top Unilever UK executives, including CEO Paul Polman have travelled to Kathmandu to join in the celebrations also.
“UNL has articulated its purpose as ‘to earn the love and respect of Nepal by making a real difference to every Nepali’. The company intends to do this by driving our brands and business to create a ‘Swastha’ and ‘Saksham’ Nepal,” said the company in a statement.
