Unilever Nigeria has become a member of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry Limited (ACCIL). At the presentation of the membership certificate to Unilever, President of ACCIL, Tonye Ejinkonye noted that the support of multinationals was key to growing the Nigerian economy.
“The ACCIL serves as a rendezvous and as strategic partner to companies. We are concerned about growing the economy and we need such collaborations. We want to attract high net worth companies and multinationals into the chamber to grow the Nigerian economy. We owe it as a duty to our country and to our youths.”
The chamber is behind the construction of Nigeria’s biggest shopping mall, thanks to its partnership with a South African company. “These are amazing achievements that we should all be proud of and are capable of making the chamber one of the best in Nigeria and in Africa,” said Soromidayo George, Director of Corporate Affairs Department at Unilever Plc.
