Unilever opens Young Entrepreneurs Awards 2017 for entries

Unilever is accepting entries for the fourth edition of its annual Young Entrepreneurs Awards. The competition is designed to celebrate young people and is open to those aged 18 to 35 worldwide who are tackling some of the planet’s biggest sustainability challenges with innovative solutions.

The contest is being delivered by the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership in partnership with Unilever. To date it has engaged with more than 2,250 young business minds from over 100 countries with previous entries ranging from digital healthcare for female-only medical clinics in Pakistan to a waste management solution to convert household waste into health insurance in Indonesia.

The awards are open to entrants until 30 June, after which eight finalists will be announced in September. The finalists will convene in Cambridge for an accelerator program, with the winner named in November and receiving a €50,000 cash prize and tailored mentoring package.
