Unilever Ventures invests in Straand to help it crack the US market

THE WHAT? Aussie scalp care brand, Straand has launched onto the US market after securing a US$2 million pre-seed investment from Unilever Ventures.

THE DETAILS The brand makes its debut in the US with two key prebiotic scalp balancing products, the Crown Cleanse Shampoo and Crown Fix Scalp Serum, which will be sold direct to consumers via brand channels and available on Amazon.

THE WHY? Straddling two trending categories – microbiome beauty and hair care – it’s clear to see why Unilever Ventures has backed the brand. The brand’s launch onto the US market is the first step in its international roll-out.
