Personal care giant Unilever has announced the retirement of Executive Vice Chairman Ann Fudge, effective May, 2018, who will be replaced by Andrea Jung, former Avon head, who will join the board as Non-Executive Director.
Set to retire from the board at the company’s AGM in May, Fudge has served the company as Vice Chairman and Senior Independent Director during her time with Unilever.
Former Avon Products Chief Executive Officer, Jung will join the board from her position as Non-Executive Director at Apple and is the longest serving female CEO of a Fortune 500 company for her tenure at Avon between 1999 and 2012.
Unilever Chairman Marijn Dekkers said, “I am very pleased that Andrea has agreed to be proposed to join the boards. Given her successful executive career and her extensive board experience in large and respected organizations, she will add great value to our boards. She is distinguished in her field, brings a refreshing outlook on technology, and understands the dynamics affecting our industry very well.”
