Walgreens Boots Alliance is set to roll-out two of Boots’ signature brands to 1,800 stores across the US this fall, according to a report published by WWD.
The drive, led by Managing Director of Boots Retail USA, Lyle Tick, will see Boots’ No7 and Soap & Glory brands hit shelves across America as well as beauty consultants installed in select stores. Consultants will be trained in clinical skin care and makeovers, and equipped with tablets.
WWD sources suggest the move will quickly double US sales for the two brands, which currently stand at approximately US$200 million.
“Our portfolio is in its infancy in the biggest beauty market in the world. The next couple of years bring tremendous opportunity,” Tick told WWD. “We’re bringing brands with proven traction elsewhere, but in the Americas we are at the beginning of the brands’ life cycle – we’re still new here.”
