Walgreens Boots Alliance has announced a series of key leadership appointments to accelerate its transformation. The drugstore giant has announced a new Chief Digital Officer, Global Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, Global Chief Marketing Officer and Global Chief Supply Chain Officer, all effective immediately.
Gunjan Bhow was named Global Chief Digital Officer. In his new role, he will lead WBA’s effor5ts to identify customer needs and develop new services. Bhow has 25 years of experience in the field, honed at leading companies including Disney, Amazon and Microsoft.
Vineet Mehra, meanwhile, was appointed Global Chief Marketing Officer. Named as one of Forbes top 50 CMOs in 2018, he joins WBA from Ancestry.com, and before that held leading marketing roles at Johnson & Johnson, Avon and P&G.
Heather Dixon will oversee WBA’s global controllership organization as Global Controller and Chief Accounting Officer. She joins the company from Aetna where she was VP, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer.
Annie Murphy has been promoted to Global Chief Commercial Officer. Previously SVP and Chief Customer Officer for the drugstore operator, she will now lead Global Brands as well as all commercial and third-party relationships.
Last, Colin Nelson joins as Chief Global Supply Chain Officer, having previously led industrial operations at Bunge and held senior roles at GlaxoSmithKline, Firmenich and Unilever.
