Walgreens Boots Alliance launches No7 brand as separate company

THE WHAT? Walgreens Boots Alliance has announced the launch of Boots’ flagship premium own label, No7 as a separate company. No7 Beauty Company is being touted as a consumer-led beauty business creating ‘trusted, affordable beauty brands for every skin type, ethnicity, age and texture’.

THE DETAILS The new business launches with a portfolio of brands, including No7, Liz Earle Beauty Company, Botanics, Soap & Glory, Sleek MakeUP and YourGoodSkin.

The company has pledged to achieve three overarching sustainability goals by 2030: at least 50 percent of sales will come from healthier, more sustainable products and services; the overall impact of new products placed on the market will be halved compared to 2019 figures; and to double the value it creates for society compared to 2019.

THE WHY? Annie Murphy, Senior Vice President, Global Chief Commercial Brands Officer, International Retail, explains, “The launch of No7 Beauty Company, a new consumer-packaged goods business within WBA, allows us to reinvent how we manage and drive further growth for our beauty portfolio. No7 Beauty Company will use the combined strengths of our world-leading brands, our dynamic supply chain, and our unrivalled track record for product innovation.”
