Dubbed by industry insiders as the ‘fragrance Oscars’, the winners of the 23rd annual Fragrance Foundation UK Awards have been announced.
Yves Saint Laurent picked up the Best New Female Fragrance award for Black Opium and Jimmy Choo picked up the Best New Male Fragrance Award for Jimmy Choo Man.
One Direction scent You & I was awarded Best Celebrity Fragrance
The awards event, in honour of the charity Look Good Feel Better, was held at The Brewery in London on 14 May.
In the Best New Design & Packaging category, Knot by Bottega Venata picked up the award for female fragrances and L’Homme Idéal by Guerlain from male fragrances.
In the Limited Distribution category, the Best New Male Fragrance Award went to Splending Wood by Yves Saint Laurent and the Best New Female Fragrance Award went to Dior Rose Elixir Précieux by Parfums Christian Dior.
The french label also gained the Best New Media Campaign prize for their latest Dior Homme Eau for Men ads, while Jo Malone London won Best New Media Campaign for a women’s fragrance for their Wood Sage & Sea Salt scent.
The Best New Independent Fragrance Award went to JACK, by Jack Perfume.
