THE WHAT? Clarins is poised to create a new Global Travel Retail division, effective in January next year, according to a report published by TR Business.
THE DETAILS The new unit will be headed up by Alexandre Callens, currently GM of Travel Retail APAC. The current President of Travel Retail and Export, Christian Laurent, is set to take the helm of the Future Growth Markets division.
THE WHY? The French beauty brand said that the reorganisation was prompted by the sale of its fashion and fragrance divisions and forms part of its wider Clarins Unlimited strategy.
Clarins CEO Jonathan Zrihen said in a statement seen by TR Business, “The creation of a Global Travel Retail President position will enable us to better capitalise on our strong position and solidify our partnership, while strengthening our ability to respond to travelling customers’ evolving needs, with specific innovative offers and experiences.”
