THE WHAT? Harrods is continuing to roll out its standalone H Beauty concept, with three more stores opening in the next 12 months in Edinburgh, Scotland, and Newcastle, England, according to a report by WWD.com.
THE DETAILS The luxury retailer already has two stores outside of London in Essex and Milton Keynes, with the new rollout slated to start in Q4, 2021 with the opening of the Edinburgh store in the St. James Quarter.
The Bristol and Newcastle stores will be opened in 2022, with Newcastle’s Metrocentre being the company’s largest standalone H Beauty store to date.
The stores will follow the model of the current ones, with established and new brands on sale as well as experiential experiences such as interactive play tables, a champagne bar and skincare stations.
THE WHY? Harrods has stated that the trio store opening is part of an “ambitious long-term strategic expansion,’ with Annalise Fard, Director of home and beauty at Harrods, highlighting the positive response to the first two stores.
She said the first two store openings, “not only reflects the ongoing demand for exceptional, high-quality retail experiences outside of London, but also the passion for beauty that exists amongst the customers we serve in these regions.”
