THE WHAT? Henkel has announced that it expects a strong start into fiscal 2021 with organic sales growth of around 7 percent, significantly above market expectations of 3.5 percent.
THE DETAILS Growth will be driven by the German FMCG manufacturer’s Adhesive Technologies unit, which is expected to deliver a sale increase to the tune of 12.5 percent while Beauty Care will inch up just 1 percent as it continues to be affected by pandemic-related headwinds. Laundry & Home Care will deliver a solid uptick of around the +3.5 percent mark.
THE WHY? Henkel CEO Carsten Knobel explains, “Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we expect that Henkel will report a very good performance in the first quarter of the year, in particular driven by the Adhesive Technologies unit.”
