K-beauty’s Nature Republic launches in Saudi Arabia

K-beauty brand Nature Republic has cut the ribbon on its first store in Saudi Arabia, according to a report published by the Korea Times.

The new store, which will serve as a flagship for the brand, is located in Riyadh’s Al Nakheel Mall. The K-beauty brand has teamed up with local retailer Fawaz Alhokair and plans to open four further stores in the country by the end of the year.

“We have thoroughly prepared for nearly two years, conducting various surveys and setting market strategies, to tap the Saudi Arabian market,” a Nature Republic representative told the Korea Times. “We entered Indonesia successfully earlier this year, and now we have set up a presence in the Middle East. We will continue to expand in Saudi Arabia and beyond, especially into oil-rich member countries of the Gulf Corporation Council (GCC).”

  1. Having already established a strong presence in South Asia, this move is a logical progression for K-beauty brands.

The Middle Eastern beauty market is set for growth in a big way, led by Saudi Arabia. Many GCC countries are also lkely targets for further expansion.
