Kix Duty Free opens Kansai Airport store

THE WHAT? Kix Duty Free has cut the ribbon on its first beauty-based store at Kansai International Airport’s Terminal 1, according to a report published by TR Business.

THE DETAILS The store will be located after security and will open its doors to travellers on December 18, 2020. Brands stocked in the beauty area will include Lauder’s Aveda, Bobbi Brown, Le Labo, Origins, Tom Ford Beauty and Jo Malone London as well as Hermes and Penhaligon’s.

THE WHY? The opening is part of the ongoing renovation of the terminal building, announced in 2019 and due to be completed in 2025. A spokesperson for the airport told TR Business, “Kansai Airports is committed to developing exciting shops and restaurants at the airports to provide our customers with an enjoyable and comfortable travel experience.”
