Not on my watch: Ugandan Cabinet oppose medical cannabis plan

The Ugandan First Lady, Janet Musevani and her cabinet have spoken against a decision to allow an Israeli company to grow marijuana for medical use in the country, according to a report published by All Africa.

Musevani dubbed the suggestion that cannabis be decriminalized in the country, ‘satanic’ while her State Minister of Planning and State Minister for Health called for the licence issued to be cancelled and reiterated that cannabis is a banned crop.

The licence was issued to Industrial Globus Pharma, working with Industrial Hemp back in March and planting is said to have started.
