Reckitt Benckiser teams up with Hilton to launch Hilton Cleanstay program

THE WHAT? Reckitt Benckiser (RB) has teamed up with hotel chain Hilton to launch the Hilton Cleanstay program, as it looks to deliver an ‘industry-standard of cleanliness and disinfection’ following the coronavirus pandemic.

THE DETAILS RB, maker of Lysol and Dettol, will collaborate with Mayo Clinic to provide ‘elevated’ processes and team training. Named ‘Hilton CleanStay with Lysol protection’ in North America, RB will offer its expertise on cleaning and products, while ‘experts from Mayo Clinic’s Infection Prevention and Control team will advise and assist in enhancing Hilton’s cleaning and disinfection protocols.’

Rahul Kadyan, EVP, North America, Hygiene/Home, RB, says, “At RB we are committed to the relentless pursuit of a cleaner, healthier world. It is imperative that we protect all consumers, today and in the days ahead as we all look forward to new ways of returning to work and leisure activities.

Hilton is said to be working with both companies to change its cleaning practices to ones of hospital hygiene standards.

THE WHY? While the hotel, travel and leisure are some of the industries hit the hardest during the COVID-19 outbreak, hygiene providers such as RB have reaped the financial rewards of their products and knowledge.

With Hilton aiming to appease concerns over hygiene, the two companies are said to be looking to extend the multi-year partnership worldwide.
