THE WHAT? Tanzania’s cosmetics regulator has ushered in a ban on the use of pyrithione zinc, butylphenyl methylpropional and sodium hydroxymethylglycinate in cosmetics, effective March 1, 2022, according to a report published by All Africa.

THE DETAILS The African nation’s Bureau of Standards said that it was monitoring local manufacturers and imported products closely to ensure that the country’s standards were adhered to.
