UK retailer Boots has announced plans to revamp its beauty halls to be ‘new and inspirational’, with the store thought to be the first of its kind in the UK to remove traditional counters and replace them with trending zones, discovery areas, and live demonstration areas.
As well as the new zones and areas, Boots has also stated it will introduce Boots Beauty Specialists that will help consumers find unique beauty solutions across multiple brands, with over 200 specialists starting next month.
The company will refit 25 of its beauty halls from April and will also be launching 20 new brands over the next six months. The plans will be announced at the Glamour Beauty Festival today.
Seb James, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Boots, said: “Beauty continues to be one of the most dynamic, inspiring and exciting parts of our business, and we are very excited to be completely overhauling our beauty experience.
“With 800 million people walking through our doors every year, it is no surprise that we are already the market leader in beauty, but we want customers to never have any reason to go anywhere else. Adding a little glamour, some great new service and lots of new brands to our beauty offer represents the first few steps of that journey.”
