THE WHAT? Clorox has teamed up with United Airlines to launch a customer safety plan, named United CleanPlus.
THE DETAILS Along with medical expert Cleveland Clinic, the trusted disinfection brand will help inform and guide United’s cleaning, safety and social distancing protocols.
The owner of Burt’s Bees will work closely with the American airline to inform its cleaning program and disinfection procedures as well as supply Clorox products at United’s hub airports in Chicago and Denver.
“We’re proud Clorox will play a role in United CleanPlus to enhance people’s safety when they travel,” said Benno Dorer, Chair and CEO, The Clorox Company. “Connecting the world more safely, when possible, is an important part of our recovery as a society. Together we are helping people when they travel for work or pleasure. We look forward to working with United to explore more ways to help keep their customers healthy during their travel experience.”
THE WHY? With air travel virtually grounded by the COVID-19 crisis, airlines are keen to kickstart operations but tempting customers back and convincing them it’s safe to fly will present a challenge. Teaming up with a household name in disinfection could help convince them.
