Fenty Beauty launches in China via Tmall Global

Fenty Beauty has launched into the Chinese market via Alibaba’s e-commerce site Tmall Global.

The beauty line, founded by pop star Rihanna, has launched a flagship store on the site as part of its Asian distribution expansion plans, with the entry into China marking Fenty’s presence in the world’s second largest beauty market.

Tmall.com will stock 210 products including the Diamond Bomb highlighter and the Pro Filt’r foundation line, with the brand hosting a promotional day on 20th September offering deals for new members.

According to a statement, the brand is looking at the new store to help “make Fenty Beauty even more accessible to its digitally savvy Chinese consumers whilst staying true to [its] 100% cruelty-free commitment.” It said the site is a “high-quality storytelling platform” to help broadcast its brand messages to buyers.
