Lush launches Koala soap to help animals affected by the bush fires

THE WHAT? Lush has created a dedicated soap, shaped like a koala, in recognition of the work being done to search for animal survivors of the Australian bush fires.

THE DETAILS All the Wild Things is a eucalyptus and lemongrass soap and net proceeds from its sale will be donated to animal rescue groups providing emergency first aid and rehabilitation to animals as well as restoring their habitat.

“We can only imagine the horror faced out in the Australian bush by those who are going out searching for animal survivors amongst the estimated billion creatures killed so far in the fires,” the ethical cosmetics giant wrote on its website.

THE WHY? Lush revealed that it had created the soap ‘in recognition of the overwhelming task faced by this informal Animal’s Emergency Service’ after listening to pleas from both customers and staff to help.
